Freestyle mogul skiing is and has been my passion for a long time now. In April 2016, I joined the U.S. Freestyle Mogul Team. A goal I have been conditioning for since I entered the alpine program at Whiteface Mountain at the age of 8. After showing skill and natural ability in the moguls and other various freestyle attributes; I was sent to the mogul team the following year where I found my true passion, and love for the sport. I spent 4 years on that team moving from the back of the pack to winning Eastern Championships at the “B” level.
Since 2011 I have skied for and attended Killington Mountain School, a private ski academy located in central Vermont until my graduation in 2015. While at Killington I joined the “A” level winning many events including Eastern Championships 2 separate years. In March of 2016 I won U.S. Junior Nationals for both categories of my sport, singles and duals. Along with “A” and National Championship events; I began competing in North American Circuit competitions 4 years ago. These competitions, also known as NorAms are international events just below the World Cup level. During the 2015-16 season I finished 2nd place in the NorAm finals event, which secured me a spot on the United States Freestyle Ski Team.
As a result of making the team, I moved to Park City, Utah to begin my training with the team. During the 2016-17 off-seasons I will be traveling around the world to places like France and Australia looking for snow to train on. This is necessary to be one hundred percent ready for the journey on which I am about to embark. Since a small child I have been connected to the snow, the mountains, and the incredible feel of that perfect run.
